Running any Reserve team is a difficult job, considering this season we used 63 players and out of the 34 games played we were unable to field the same starting 11. Results weren't going in our favour so we made the decision to change our management at the end of March after a bad run of games without a win, team morale was at a low and it was felt we needed a change. Dan Badman was brought in as 'caretaker' manager with the main aim of sustaining our presence in the First Division, he was aware of the task ahead and what needed to be done. Results started going our way and with the help of senior players and more 'new faces' he kept pulling out the results. We knew that he had the capilbilities to get the best out of certain players and they came through, in the last 10 games we won 6, drew 1 and lost 3 beating the top 3 teams on our way. This has given us a great starting position for the coming season after finishing joint 13th and next season we will be playing in the first division again.
We were so impressed with Dan that we have offered him the role permantantly which we are pleased he has excepted.
