This season started with great expectations after the fantastic finish last season. It wasn't to be after a number of long term injuries to key players it was down to the managemnt team to bring in new players. This was not an easy task as with the current financial climate for many teams it's hard to bring in new talent. Buzz brought in a number of new players and they fitted in well, but we struggled to get results and found ourselves slipping further down the table, we had forgotten how to play our style of football and it got extermely frustrating as we stopped believing in ourselves and our capabilities. When we did remeber how to play and play well we then found it difficult to put the ball in the back of the net and then the sucker punch was conceeding 'soft' goals. Our fortunes then changed and confidenance came back, we started playing again and it worked, at one point we had 14 players either missing with injuries or had moved on to other clubs. With a small squad you then have to look into the reserves and U18's and I'm pleased to say the individuals that came through the ranks this season have done fantastic, Tom Hill & Rob Ashdown have been outstanding. The season finished well for us and 13th considering the situation was very respectable. I very proud of the lads and their efforts this season and know Buzz and Wayne worked with the players that were available to them to get the best out of them and I know they are looking forward to next season.
